(duh) One will be used to harvest food and put it into auto feeders, (we'll call him "FarmerBot") the other will be used to take plorts from plort collecters and put them in the plort market. Where should you put the gardens and corrals? Well, first allow me to explain where the magic happens: the drones. So I need an equal number of corrals (for slimes) and farms/coops (for your chosen food type) so that means I'll be using 4 plots for gardens and 4 for corrals. This will work in ANY ranch expansion, but you may end up with an unused plot. In this example we'll be automating the main ranch, which has 8 useable plots. Now it's time to start planning out which plots will be used for what. As such, in order for this to work you must choose one food group for the ranch expansion you want to automate. When harvesting food, drones can only be programmed to harvest one type of food at a time: fruit, veggies, or meat. But whatever the reason, I have devised a way to (just about) fully automate any ranch expansion (or all of them if you like) with just 2 drones. Which is a shame, but probably because having a bunch of drones everywhere would lag the game, or because they don't want you to easily automate EVERYTHING. I may not be the first to think of these, so I'm not taking credit for them.įully automate your ranch with just 2 drones!Īs you probably know, each ranch expansion is limited to just 2 drones. I'll also (probably) add your tip to this list, so it can grow bigger with even more ways to use drones. Have your own tips? Comment them below! I'd love to hear what others are doing with drones. Hello fellow ranchers! I'm not one for long introductions so I'll cut right to the chase: though I'm sure lots of people already know how to use drones, I figured I would make a list of tips, tricks, and setups that I have found useful.
